| MACLUMBER is an advanced composite material manufactured from recycled plastic resin and wood fiber. It is designed to replace treated lumber in non-structural applications. It is ideal for decks, docks, landscaping, fencing, window and door trim, outdoor chairs, picnic tables, and any other outdoor application where wood would require frequent maintenance. MACLUMBER requires no stain or sealer and is paintable with water based latex. No special tools are required and can be sawed, planed, nailed, routed, or sanded with normal woodworking equipment. A carbide-tipped blade is recommended (18-20 teeth for a 7 1/4" saw blade). Nails do not back out of MACLUMBER. Available in light gray color only.
MACLUMBER composite sheets are used for plywood applications. Composite sheets are about 20% heavier than plywood but will not absorb water like regular plywood. Fasten the sheets with nails or screws (screws work better). Cut with carbide-tipped blades as described above.
